About

I’m a painter based on the Olympic Peninsula, working primarily in acrylic on panel. My subject matter varies — landscapes, street scenes, still life, everyday moments — but what draws me in every time is light and shadow: the shapes they carve out of a scene, and the mood they create. I take my own reference photos and paint from them, though the finished work is never a direct copy of the photograph.

I left a corporate career to make more room for this work. I build each piece in layers, establishing light and value first, then letting color and detail follow. When a figure appears in a painting, it’s usually less about who they are and more about scale and presence — a way of grounding the mood of a place.

This is a new and growing body of work. I’m currently building out a full portfolio and shop for original paintings and prints — check back, or reach out directly below.
